Colorful Teardrop Necklace
Whimsical, almost Asian, and looking like an antique before its time. The blues and greens in the glass bead remind me of an Asian sea, complimented by rich copper.
This one plays well with denim, and is a great eyecatcher. It can dress up or down, the choice is yours. The way the pendant is suspended you should never have to worry if the clasp has wandered to the front.
This pendant started out as an old piece of roofing copper that my Dad salvaged and gave to me, and I gave it a new form as a piece of wearable art. I wanted to make something light, airy, and with a lot of movement. The attractive glass focal bead has at its core a deep red amber color. At the surface there are random swirls of blue, green, and copper. It's hung on an understated warm brown waxed cotton cord that compliments the color and design without distracting from the pendant. It has a magnetic closure at the back.
There is only one of these, it's an OOAK (one of a kind) necklace.
